Resources for Astronomy

Hey 6th graders,
Check out the student resources page.  I updated a couple of resources for you to check out if you are interested.  Have fun!

Welcome!

This blog is a resource for you!  I will make weekly posts to communicate learning goals and share what we are up to in class.
  • Families - If you would like to talk to your students about what they are learning in science, you can ask students about the specific learning goals we are working on.  For example, you might say "I saw that you are learning about motion.  What are you finding interesting?  What is a struggle?"
  • Students - Be metacognitive!  Metacognition means to think about your thinking.  Use these learning goals to ask yourself "Have I met this learning goal?  How can I show that I have learned?  What do I need to work on?"
On this blog, I plan to have a section for students to include:
  • weekly assignments
  • materials from class that can be downloaded
  • links to websites for support on learning
This blog is an attempt to open up communication between teachers, students, and families.  I hope you find it useful.  Please contact me by email or at Aspire if you have any comments, questions, or concerns.

Aloha,
Ms. Hamilton
